These tracers are generally referred to at "combat tracer" and do not light immediately out of the barrel. They'll travel 50-75 yards before they light and burnout at approximately 500 yards. Given that these are late 80s' production, some might light late or not at all. Tracer rounds are notorious for setting fires in dry environments, so it would be best to save these for a long range on a wet day.
