- 3 x rare early 1942 Dated Barrel Carriers
The LS42 is noticeably shorter than the Laufschützer 43. It was soon replace by the Laufschützer 43 "dual purpose" carrier and is the least common of German WW2 barrel carriers.
These came out of Yugoslav arsenals and were typically repainted after WW2. Slings may be post war as well
Original German marked Laufschützer 42s are quite rare since they were quickly replace by the Laufschützer 43 (dual purpose) barrel carrier which worked with both MG34 & MG42 barrels.
Condition: Good - minor dents, bends, rust, sling wear, and/or other surface blemishes generally as pictured.
* The latch and inserts work properly to hold the barrel.
Many of these were built without the hold-open bar depending on the manufacturer.
