- Shaft looks like standard Yugo rearsenal scrub, renumber, refinish. The original shaft markings are mostly absent with the exception of the "7.91 Cr" marking on barrel shoulder.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR HEADSPACE:
For 8mm Mauser, we inspect each barrel with standard "GO" and "NO-GO" 8mm Mauser gauges. However, it's good practice with any MG42 to verify headspace with the specific bolt, barrel, and type of ammo you are using. Headspace that is too short can result in very dangerous out-of-battery detonations.
